Black Canyon Middle School

Black Canyon Middle School, built for the Bonneville Joint School District No. 93, includes the new construction of an approximately 131,768 SF school building on a 20-acre site. The facility will serve the growing local community and was funded by a local bond measure. The new, grade 7-8 education building was constructed of a combination steel and masonry structure; metal panel, masonry, and glass exterior; and durable, economical, and sustainable interior finishes throughout. The layout of the facility includes teaching “pods” that elevate the teaching process, encourage collaboration, and provide an added level of building security. Black Canyon Middle School was built adjacent to the new Thunder Ridge High School.
